Everytime I try to draw different body types, they would come out very awkward looking... But this tutorial has helped me out a LOT.
Thanks you for this tutorial!

Metodo interessante. In effetti quando si comincia a dover differenziare i personaggi dalla corporatura, una sofferenza.

XD it's a lovely tutorial and I like the fact that it clearly states that you look on the width of shoulders : hips (I've seen a lot of ''articles'' that focus on the breast size : hip size difference....which is wrong.). And basically the way I see it, these shapes are not just common ones, they are THE only shapes you can see (triangle=pear, reverted triangle=lollipop I think, rectangle=ruler=banana=collumn, oval=circle=apple and of course the hourglass) .....the difference is in proportions and fat distributions (For example; a thin/slim pear may appear as an odd ruler or even hourglass. Longer torso might make a preson seem like it's a different shape etc) however it's just one of those 5 (at least that's how I see it. I might be wrong tho) :)

*breast are (this is the only thing that bugged me)

For anyone reading this, I'd also suggest this tutorial; [link]

Much inspiration to you!

Matt Groening (Simpsons, Futurama) has a basic shape for most of his male characters. It's an upside-down light bulb. Or pear shape if we use your body designs.
